J. Douglas Foster

Mr. Foster is an “AV” rated lawyer who has been in private practice since 1976.  He graduated from Stanford University in 1973 and received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Texas in 1976.  Mr. Foster has practiced law continuously since that time, trying jury and non-jury cases in state courts throughout New Mexico and in West Texas, and in federal court in the District of New Mexico and the Western District of Texas.  He has argued appeals before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of New Mexico, the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Texas, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.  In addition, he has handled administrative matters before various New Mexico and federal administrative entities. Although Mr. Foster no longer practices law full-time, he continues to represent clients and provide strategic assistance in complex cases.
